Re: Post your ghost storyI got this little tidbit from some of the staff of the Dome Restaurant inside the Camino Real Hotel. I remembered it after the downtown tour this past weekend (3/13/10). A travel agent friend of mine was visiting from out of town and he likes to see the local hotels to see what he can recommend to his clients. Of course, we had to see the Camino Real; the beautiful stain glass dome in the bar is a must see. While in there, we walked into the empty Dome restaurant to have a quick look around, peek at the menu. We ended up speaking to a couple of the staff about the restaurant and I asked if there were any ghosts in the restaurant since the Del Norte part of the hotel, which is where the restaurant is located has a history of spooks. They were silent for about a good 60 seconds when one said, "See that table?" It was a large round table located near the entrance in a small alcove. "There is a person that sits there and drinks coffee." It seems that someone will see a man sitting there, take an order for coffee, and he will sit there and drink but when they turn their back on him he will disappear, and there have been times where he will disappear in front of them as they serve him the coffee. They have lost at least one waitress that way. |
