Back in June 2009, the Paso Del Norte Paranormal Society was contacted by the current home owner of the local legend of the "House on Silver Street".This house is in one of the historical district of El Paso,TX and it is believed this house at one point, was a house of refuge for Pancho Villa and his posse. Supposidly it was a house of ill repute if you will and Pancho Villa and his men would use the services of this home and it's occupants to relax and unwind, also used it for strategic advanctage while escaping his enemies with the house sitting on top of small hill, it provided the high ground so he could see who was coming and going. also with it's close proximity to the Franklin Mountains, it made for easy escape. Many rumors have come about this home, such as underground tunnels that lead out to the mountains. Daniel Bustamante and myself, were invited to this home last June to sit down and interview the homeowner and take base readings with our EMF detector, K-2 meters, laser thermometers, and other various equipment to see if anything was out of the ordinary here. While listening to the homeowner talk about the history, that he knew of, of the residence, he also mentioned how he came to acquire the place. He began to tell us of the multiple times the home was vandalized due to teenagers wanting to seek the "thrill of the hunt", per say and try to conduct they're own investigation. It first began by stories of how the door was forced open, then how the windows were broken and once it was borded up, more intruders came into the home. Tales of demonic presences have been reported here as well. However, not confirmed or documented. One story in particular was on the upstairs right window at night you can see a figure standing in to window. Daniel and I were taken on a tour of the home and took many pictures. The figure in the window is actually a manequin, and behind the manequin is a small narrow corridor with a dim light. We were told this was to create the illusion someone was home to help deter would be intruders. Next we goto the "Round Room" in the upper tower of the home. The story with this is, many years ago a teenager hung herself at the top of the stair case that led into this room. Daniel and I did goto the top of the tower, however, there was no stair case, and no evidence of one ever being in place there. We did however have to climb a ladder that led to this part, but a hole was cut into the cieling to give access. Now this round room was so small that only two people could stand in there, and one was on the ladder. The room was not ample enough size to have as a bedroom, family room or anything of that nature. It did however give a great view of the El Paso area especially with the Star on the side of the Franklin Mountains. Throughout the home, there were several safety concerns such as holes in the floor, one part we had to walk across a beem over the floor since the home was undergoing renevations. One huge concern was of the upper bedroom where supposidly, according to the home owner, past residents have practiced witchcraft and even satanic rituals. There was some writing on the bedroom closet doors and walls the homeowner described in a language he has never seen before, this making him believe it could have been some sort of satanic chants. After reviewing our video, audio, and many photos, Daniel and I have no caught anything we would deem as paranormal. However, there is a picture of interest, if you goto http://www.city-data.com/forum/attachments/el-paso/42496d1243634737-haunted-places-storys-el-paso-silver-ghost.jpg you will see a photo in broad day light, on what appears to be a ghost. Kep in mind this place was not officially investigated by Paso Del Norte Paranormal Society, so we cannot say yes it is or is not haunted. But we can offer our opinions based off our preliminary reports and investigations such as this. In my honest opinion, the place in and of itself is a creepy place, especially at night due how high the home sites on the hill, there is limited light in and around the home, and the vast amount of things that are currently inside and scattered throughtout the home. Please comment on let us know what you all think about the photos will be available shortly, so please check those out and let us know what you all think.
